Lockdown 3 is over. We have decided that we will return to Face to Face scouting in June and will let you know the exact date nearer the time. Zoom meetings until then will concentrate on doing as much of our theory work as possible so that we can go straight in to the practicle side of our program when we meet again. Please look out for your link to the meeting which will be sent by email the day before.

What we will be doing: Last year we still managed a full programme of activities working towards Challenge and other badges. We were very pleased to present 7 Gold Award and 125 Challenge and other badges, well done all. This year in line with the Scouts UK programme we will continue to work towards our Challenge badges over Zoom together with games and other fun activities.

There are times that scouts will need to complete things outside of the Zoom call where we ask that you continue to send emails to us of the things you have completed. Where we can and only with permission we will share what we have done via our Instagram account, click on the logo above.

This terms activities:

The words for Thursday (27th) are "Eastings and Northings "

The Armstrong Covid Rap

Armstrong scouts is on the zoom,   doing challenges is what they do,   telling bad jokes too
There is a scavenger hunt that we do,    then pioneering and bunting making too
Were counting our miles day by day,   were doing this the Armstrong way
Walking past Prague and Moscow too,   we are one mighty crew,    every week we learn something new
Yar its scouts zoom ,  yar don’t mess with earth gang it’ll be your doom
Yar weekly miles,   yar weekly trials
Yaar language of sign,    yaar when we Zoom it is going pretty fine
Coronovirus keeping us in,   away from all our kin
All i wanted was a mars bar,    now living on camp food
Parents complaining,    kids busy,    life is a real misery
Its the fourteeth week of lockdown,   its really starting to make me frown
My hands are getting sore,   with this hand washing galore
I hope school will be clean after this Covid nineteen
Although its been really hot, in my port its really not.
